What should I do if British Airways has lost my luggage? About a week ago, British Airways failed to bring us our luggage on our trip to Amsterdam. Three days after we returned to UK our luggage arrived at our home, the outer shell damaged. So we filled out a property irregularity report, sent BA an email and even tried phoning them today. We recieved a reply from our email saying that it will take another 28 days for BA to deal with our problem. We have tried filling out a lost baggage claim form on the BA website, but no matter what, the form does not accept our form entry. Apparently, we have one day left in which to try to make a claim. Phoning BA directly to fill in the report does not work. Is anyone having the same difficulties as us? Is so, what did you do to make your claim known?

British Airways lost my luggage 2 months ago and now I'm getting the run-around. What can I do now? I flew from Cyprus to Newark via London on British Airways last December during the fog fiasco. BA initially had both of my suitcases lost, but a month later recovered one. The other is still missing. I have called the baggage service hotline but its all automated and totally useless, same for the Newark baggage service number I demanded upon arrival. There is no information on the website about what to do about lost baggage other than to call the hotline or "file a claim at the nearest BA office." What do I do now? About a month ago once they realized it was lost, a woman at Newark baggage services told me she would mail me a "survey" to complete to show all the items that were in the lost suitcase but it never came. I was coming back from a 5 month study-abroad so I lost ALL of my clothes, iPod, shoes, DVDs and other electronic equipment. This is so frustrating!
