Discount bus tickets from St Louis to Denver? I've been searching around trying to find discounts on airfare, bus tickets, etc. and haven't been having any luck. How do I find cheap tickets from Seattle to Buffalo!?!? I am trying to find a way to get to Buffalo, NY from Seattle, WA. Yes, I have looked at EVERY discount airfare website known to man (none of them have tickets available for the days I want--- and yes I clicked "flexible dates". I looked on eBay. I looked on craigslist. Does anyone have any ideas? I looked at train tickets too, they are just as expensive and take way longer. I am trying to find under $300 for a trip around the end of June or early July. Please let me know if you got any ideas. And please don't respond if you are just gonna say that I am SOL, that doesnt help! I need to go see my baby! I found some for $204 the other day... they are gone now though. I guess I just have to book it far in advance.
Wondering what the best military discount is for airfare? My husband is a veteran and is currently active duty. How much in advance should you book your flight to get the cheapest air fare? I am traveling to NJ from GA for a family reunion. I need to be in NJ no later than Thursday, July 31. I was going to book my flight today (July 16) because I was told that most airlines require a two week advance booking for the best fares, also I have found that if you travel on Wedsnesdays the fares are cheaper. However, someone told me that most airlines have sales on Thursdays. However, that would only give me a 13 day advance booking. I have also been told that some airlines now only require a 7 to 10 day advance booking for the best fares. I'm getting a little confused with so much information. Also, could you supply some good web sites to find discount airfares. So far, cheapo-air seems to be the best one. Thanks.
How can I find help with Int.adoption travel expenses? I will be going to Guatemala soon to pick up my baby girl. Finances for the adoption have pretty much depleted our savings. I am looking for websites or resources to help me find help getting discounts or grants to help with airfare and hotels for myself, my husband and baby.
Cheapest, discount airfare / flight from Vancouver (Canada) to Bangkok(Thailand)? Do you know where I can find the cheapest airfare in April from Vancouver to Bangkok? I am flexible with the dates (april 3rd-14th departure dates) and can take a bus to a different departure city if I save a lot of money for the flight (as long as it's not too far away from vancouver). Any help from your experiences would be really appreciated. THANKS!
Is this airfare discount website a scam or fraud? I'm looking for deep discount airfares. I Came across this website a few days ago. myairfaresecrets.com I Did some searching to see if it's bogus, and can't find much that's current. I noticed some typos in the site, and it says that the "special price" will expire soon, but it seems to have been at the special price since 2007. The LARGE amount of information on the site seems like a bunch of hype. The wild promises (free air travel/travel anywhere for $7) make me think .... SCAM! I'm wondering if anyone has actually bought and used this information to receive deep discounts or free air travel? Is it just an elaborate scam to grab your $25 bucks?
What are the cheapest options to fly one-way from Europe to the US? I am hoping for any suggestions on discount airfares/websites from Europe to the northeastern US. I currently have one flight remaining on a multi-destination ticket that will return me to London from Bangkok. I purchased this ticket because it was significantly cheaper to depart from the UK than the US. At the time I found a really cheap one-way flight to Ireland($235) from Newark, but I am having less luck with a connecting one-way flight home. I don't expect to find such a good deal to return home, but I have a hunch that there are different websites that specialize on travel to the US from Europe than US based websites that offer good deals departing from the US. Since Ryanair has coverage around much of the continent, I am fairly flexible about where I fly from in Europe. I hope to return to the East Coast of the US anywhere between Wash D.C. and Boston-whatever's cheapest ; ) Please share any information and suggestions about this you may have. Thanks for your help.
Does anyone know of a reliable discount international airfare company? I have been researching the cheapest way to book the flight I need to Chile in November. I found the exact outbound and inbound flights on different websites, as well as the airline's sight, but doing it from an outside company seems cheaper. I've found the best fare at cheapoair.com, but googled them and found the feedback on them to be about 90% complaints. I need good advice of REAL and RELIABLE companies to check out. Thanks!

Affordable airfare for you bucks? I am trying to find the cheapest airfare from NC to Seattle,WA for 3 adults. So far the price I'm looking at now is $275.00. Any suggestions for online websites for discounted airfares besides the ones already mention such as orbitz, priceline,AA,United, etc.? Planning to go around July 13th until July 21st. Is the discount airfare website "The Best Travel Store" a web scam? The website https://www.bt-store.com/ has listed prices on airfare that are half of the price of ANYWHERE I look. A flight which I am looking for from Buffalo, NY (BUF) to Osaka, Japan (KIX) is $750 on this site and $1300 everywhere else. And I've found that it is a company inside the US unlike foriegn scammers from Asia. Thanks for the help.

This is an Economy question about changes in the airline industry.? Turmoil in the Airline Industry Even before the September 11 terrorist attacks, the major airlines were flying into stiff head winds. Slim to nonexistent profits, bankruptcies and buckets of red ink, poor service, late arrivals, overexpansion, frequent air-traffic control breakdowns, some of the worst labor-management relations in business, high fuel costs, a full-blown economic downturn, and the collapse of business travel had cast this industry into one of the worst periods in aviation history. Road Warriors Get Smart For years, the major airlines had succeeded in getting business travelers (road warriors) to pay premium fares by pampering them with special business-class seats and other perks. Business travel was their lifeblood. Sales of unrestricted fares and last-minute tickets generated about two to three times as much as economy fares and contributed about 70 percent of a major airline?s revenue. But with corporate profits hitting the skids in late 2000, companies put the brakes on travel spending. The corporate exodus hit the major airlines hard. Resourceful business travelers used substitute products such as videoconferencing or other transportation modes ? even if it meant putting up with inconveniences ? to reduce travel expenses. Some turned to the Internet to find cheaper airfares. Others moved their business downstream to discount airlines such as Southwest and Jet Blue. Major airlines tried to raise round-trip leisure tickets to make up for their lost business revenues, but fierce competition from discounters prevented them from doing so. Air Travel is ?Wal-Marted? Just as Wal-Mart did in retailing, the discounters of the air such as Southwest and Jet Blue are squeezing the major airlines from all ends. Low-cost carriers now account for nearly 20 percent of the U.S. domestic air capacity, up from 6 percent in the early 1990?s. They can afford to sell travel tickets for less because they have many cost advantages over full-service rivals. To begin with, they have younger fleets, which require less maintenance, and younger labor forces that aren?t tied to complicated, inefficient labor contracts. Moreover, low-fare carriers typically fly one airplane model, thus minimizing maintenance, operating, and training costs. By contrast, big carriers typically fly six or seven types of aircraft. And unlike the big guys, the discount airlines don?t operate expensive hub-and-spoke systems. Caught Between a Hub and a Hard Place Using a hub-and-spoke route system, major airlines scoop up traffic from smaller cities (the spokes) and funnel it through a few gathering points (the hub). This practice allows airlines to serve small markets and offer passengers more destinations and more frequent flights. But is also presents a logistical nightmare. It forces major airlines to schedule lots of flights to arrive and depart within narrow windows of time in order to minimize passenger layover times. This means that ground crews, such as gate attendants and baggage handlers, often sit idle between waves of connecting flights. By Contrast, point-to-point carriers, such as Southwest and Jet Blue, schedule flights as if passengers are moving to their final destinations. Instead of having planes and crews sit around and wait for passengers, point-to-point carriers maintain fast-paced schedules, which means minimal downtime for aircraft and fewer personnel on the ground. Turbulent Skies for the Bid Carriers Today, one in four tickets sold is on a discount airline. As pressure from low-fare carriers mounts, major airlines are reevaluating every aspect of their operations. The major carriers are undergoing radical change just to stay in business. They are experimenting with changes in costs, capacity, pricing, and product features in ways they haven?t seriously contemplated since the industry was deregulated in 1978. They are stripping billions of dollars from their operations by revamping their hub system, cutting jobs, eliminating flights, ending food service, and removing first-class seats, and by simplifying their fleets to cut training and maintenance costs, Some are replacing agents with self-service kiosks. Others are wrangling concessions from unions for huge pay cuts to reduce labor costs ? a major differentiating factor when you consider that in 2002 a United Airlines captain earned $9,000 to $11,000 more a month than a Jet Blue captain. Still others, such as U.S. Airways and United Airlines have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection to reorganize their outstanding debt and lower their operating costs. In spite of their efforts, questions loom as to whether all the major airlines can survive. Even with huge cost cuts, all airlines remain susceptible to possible terrorist attacks, economic turns, or employee unrest. As experts claim that this is just the beginning of an industry-wide shakedown. After all, no airline can fly forever losing billions of dollars. Critical Thinking Questions 1. What s 1. What supply and demand factors have changed the equilibrium point for airline tickets? 2. How has information technology affected the airline industry? 3. How are complimentary products affected by problems in the airline industry? 4. Take a closer look at the airline industry by logging on to http://www.hoovers.com, and type in Airlines for your search. List six domestic (U.S.) airlines and their locations and six international (global) airlines with their locations as well. 5. Why do U.S. airlines form alliances with overseas partners?
How do I find the cheapest airfare from LAX to STL? I've been searching religiously for flights from LAX (or surrounding airports like Santa Ana, Long Beach, Ontario) to STL, but they are all extremely expensive. It's always like this going to St Louis :( I want to depart either after 5pm July 2 or before 8am July 3. Red-eye flights would be fantastic too! I just really need to be in St Louis before 3pm if possible. I'd like to return in the evening on July 5, between 6-10pm. 2 passengers, both adults, cheapest deals or discounts possible. What can you guys find? :D

Cheap International Airfare to Tokyo, Japan? I'm traveling to Tokyo in August. I'm trying to find a good deal on airfare. I've already tried the main discount websites, such as princeline, orbitz, hotwire, etc. Are there any other website that can help me?
Does anyone know if airfares go down the closer you get to the date, or do they usually go up? I tried booking a ticket home for the summer (I live in Japan) on Orbitz, but it timed out. By the time I was able to get back online the next day, the fares had already skyrocketed! I heard the fares fluxuate, but this is redicules! Anyone know if you keep checking in on airfares, do they sometimes go down, or do other airlines sometimes offer more discount airfares from time to time? It is driving me nuts!

Question about booking a flight when you have a coupon/discount? If you are attending a meeting and receive a Meeting Agreement (WorldFile Number), you get a big discount on airfare with Northwest Airlines. My question is, can the person you're travelling with also receive a discount if they are not atending that meeting?
Dont you think people under 200 lbs should get a discount on airfare? i keep hearing about the millions of gallons of extra fuel airlines keep paying for obese people on flights...i have had to sit next to people who should have paid for 2 seats and they were obviously comfortable taking up my arm space while i had to sit all squashed for hours....I am then scrutinized by my size of carry-on when my 40lb bag plus my 135lb body only adds up to 2/3 the weight of some of the fellow passengers!!!!! I PAY EXTRA FOR MY TICKET TO COMPENSATE FOR BUBBA BECAUSE HE DOESNT KNOW HOW TO STOP EATING WHEN HE IS FULL! Just because 65% of Americans are overweight doesnt mean i should in any way have to pay for it because i am small. Us "skinny" (or "normal" as i call it) people already have to look like freaks in this country because we are slim and fit....Dont you think they should give us a discount...or atleast make people weigh in when boarding and have to pay extra over 200 or say 250 lbs? I mean, you have to pay for extra luggage...why not extra FAT!
Student discount on airfare? Does anyone know of any airlines that offer student discount on airfares? We are looking for the cheapest airfare between Las Vegas and Hawaii (Kauai). Thanks!
Looking for discount airfare to Spain/Mallorca? I've checked orbitz, travelocity, expedia ... are there discount airlines or agencies who do NOT participate in those websites that I should check out? Thanks I'm traveling from the east coast in early July.
Military discount on airfare? I wish that if there are any empty seats on a flight that our military men/women could jump on the flight for a big discount or free! They are stationed miles away from home! This would be great way for us all to say "Thank you"
Do online airfare tickets go up the more that you search them? I have been searching for a multi-city airfare through all the major discount airfare sites. And each time that I search the same dates the prices change. One day it will be $707, the next $701, a few days later its $658 a couple hours later its $713....I dont get it. Is it the time of day or that I keep searching the location causing price & demand to go up?
