Cheapest Flights to Sydney

Qantas Flights from Sydney to LA?

Can anyone tell me what the Sydney to LA flight is like on a Qantas flight... Im a bit of a nervous flyer... Also what is American Airlines like, will be going back to Hawaii on the way home with AA, on behalf of Qantas???

1. I have flown a couple of times to LA from sydney on qantas. it is a very long time to sit down but apart from the simple fact you have to sit there for so long there is nothing to be afraid of. The food is usually quite bad so bring your own snacks. There are small tvs in all seats that have on demand movies, music, tv etc that makes the time go a bit quicker. If i had to fly with young children i would probly rather shoot myself though. There really is nothing to worry about the staff always help you with all of your problems and if you can sleep or can sit there for ages without trouble it can be quit pleasant.
2. I did this flight earlier this year. It's long but it's fine. The fact that you get your own tv entertainment system helps. Airport security out of LAX is HUGE. It's quite the palaver but necessary I guess, so make sure you leave enough time. Also the terminal I left from (this may have changed since then) has NO shopping so if you're planning on doing any shopping do it before you check in.
