Cheapest Flights to Sydney

How's the flight between Sydney & Melbourne on Qantas?

I'll be flying on Qantas from Sydney to Melbourne next week Friday and would like to know how the flight is. I'm a little nervous because of all the things I've seen about Qantas on the news recently. But is that flight generally pretty smooth?

  1. da flight is horrible. yur cramped into yur seat wif no space 2 move. dunt be nervous, besides da cramped space and bad food ull be fine
  2. It will be very good. the flight is short you will be there before you know it. Don't worry qantas has had a bit of publicity with a few mishaps but they are a good airline. There safety record is very good.
  3. I've flown to and from Sydney and Melbourne and tried Virgin Blue, Jetstar and Qantas, and I actually think you've chosen the best of the three! They're much more comfortable than the other more budget airlines, more comfy seats, etc. The flights I've had with them have been very smooth, pleasant and the staff are all lovely and helpful. You'll enjoy your flight!
  4. Qantas are still a very safe airline... they have obviously had issues lately but nothing major, and they still need to meet the safety criteria of the Australian Civil Aviation Authority, some of the most strict in the World, before a plane can fly anywhere. You'll be fine, the journey itself is not even an hour so by the time you level out its time to land, hope you enjoy the flight :-)
  5. Yes Qantas has never crashed. It is always smooth and they have repaired their planes.
  6. I've travelled on Qantas several times including Melbourne. Despite recent reports they are a very safe airline. The Sydney/Melbourne flight is around 1 hour and quite comfortable.
  7. It's just like any other flight. Conditions don't generally change from route to route... it's just dependant on the pressure, the altitude, the season, week, day and time. As for safety concerns... you have more chance of getting killed in an accident on your way to the airport than you do of being in a plane mis-hap. (I hope that puts your mind at ease. lol)
