Question about Qantas flights from Sydney to LAX?
The pilots flying flights from Sydney to LAX, they leave Sydney in the morning-noon, and they arrive the next morning in LA. Would that crew fly one of the flights leaving that night from LAX-Sydney, or would they fly one of the next day's night flights from LAX-Sydney? Thanks!

- No, they are required to have 1 day of rest. More specifically, 16 hours minimum.
- my mum (a qantas flight attendant) just came back from sydney-LAX trip. she clocked on and left on friday arvo (AEST), and came back monday early morning (AEST). all the flight crew had 1.5 days off in LAX i beleive.
- Pilots are allowed to fly 8 hours max a day. They are able to do long flights by having relief crew. When they land they will stay for about 1 or 2 days then head back. Sometimes sooner but the minimum is 16 hours
