What is the cheapest flight from Sydney to Boston?

I understand that I'll have to stopover at either San Fran or LA. I just wanted to know when the cheapest time to fly is and what's the cheapest I can get it.

  6. Flight prices change constantly. I usually use kayak.com, it gives you a current list from lots of different airlines. I just tried a random day in the middle of March, one way ticket, I found the cheapest is $1267. Traveling in the middle of the week is often cheaper than on the weekends. Buying round trip is usually much cheaper than buying 2 one-way tickets, but then you have to plan a return date in advance.
