Cheapest Flights to Sydney

Hello. I wanna visit australia in december.Is it possible to get a cheap flight sydney/cairns for this time?

1. Yes, it is possible to get a cheap ticket but you should fly out of a large international airport perhaps. It would also be helpfull to fly into a major international airport, I have found that it is always cheaper that way.
2. You'd be more likely to find a cheap ticket going in to Sydney, as it is the major airport hub. However, try to fly earlier in December as Christmas-New Year is the most expensive (and busy) period. If you really want to visit Cairns, you could always try for a cheap domestic flight there departing from Sydney.
