- CHECK TELETEX AND INTERNET AND LOCAL TRAVEL AGENTS QUANTUS DO SOME GOOD DEALS AND B.A. SO HAVE A LOOK
- Try the following online travel agents and brokers http://www.airline-network.co.uk/ http://www.cheapflights.co.uk/ http://www.ebookers.com/ http://www.expedia.co.uk/default.asp Alternatively visit your nearest Flight Centre: http://www.flightcentre.co.uk/ Find out about BA World Offers as you may get a good deal there. You may also want to consider a charter flight if you want a cheap flight but you may find them uncomfortable particularly for long haul flights to Sydney. A google search on Charter Flights will give you several websites. I flew to Oz with Britannia 10 years ago - they were reasonable for £500 (cheapest deal at the time).
- I think Emirates fly from Gatwick to Oz but not sure if they go to Sydney (I know they definitely go to Brisbane from Gatwick). They usually have quite decent prices, even if you book directly from their website. Plus they have cameras on the outside of the plane so you can have a pilots view as you fly and during take-off/landing ... fun!
- Try Emirates, they go from Gatwick and often have very good deals - flights go via Dubai. They are also one of the best airlines for service, meals etc. Virgin Atlantic fly from there as well, via Hong Kong, and you may get an OK deal on them. If you can go from Heathrow you have plenty more options - and much cheaper - try Japan Airlines, China Airlines, and Gulf Air for some bargains.
