Cheapest Flights to Sydney

Which is the best Airline to travel to London in?

I've been researching airlines and plane ticket costs and have a varying degree from $1300 australia dollars to $2300 for a return trip from Sydney to London in January - February 2008. I am throwing up between, British Airways, and Virgin Atlantic, as the cheaper ones such as Thai Airways I've been told aren't very good. I've travelled overseas before on other airlines but never BA or VA. Virgin is the more expensive of the two by about $600 dollars but I earn miles which I don't on British. I'd appreciate someone making my mind up for me! It's too difficult!

  1. i would suggest Singapore Airlines, which also flies the kangaroo route like Qantas: Sydney-Singapore or Bangkok-London. You can also try Qantas, if you'd like. Asian Airlines are usually cheap, like Cathay Pacific, Eva Air, Japan Airlines, etc. Best of luck!
  2. my daughter and her family flew to uk 5 yrs ago on Royal Brunei, they had no faults on any thing about cost, service etc, check them out also but in the end the decision is yours, have a great trip. If its frequent flyer you are after stick to the companies that offer the best deals on that. http://www.bruneiair.com/australia/
  3. Virgin Atlantic is just slightly better than British Airways. However, both are definitely world class airlines in terms of quality of service!
  4. maybe u can also check malaysia airline... its give a good deal as well ..
  5. Well, here's my question, Are you in a urgent to London...? Or are you traveling on leisure and holiday...? if you don't mind to make a longer route but want to save on the $$$, here's what I suggest, take a look at www.oasishongkong.com It offer a flight from Hong Kong to London. From sydney to Hong Kong, may be you want to take the usual virgin airlines or qantas. But how about travel to Singapore and from Singapore, takes the LCC www.jetstar.com or www.tigerairways.com to macau...? This is a brand new experience if you have the time and don't mind to change plane and hotel. Enjoy your flight... :)
